Zandvoort is the only circuit on the calendar with two banked corners - Hugenholtz at 19 degrees and the Arie Luyendyk final corner at 18 degrees, roughly double the banking at Indianapolis - added when the track returned to F1 in 2021 after a 36-year absence. The layout is threaded through North Sea sand dunes, giving it a rollercoaster character no modern purpose-built circuit matches.
Tarzanbocht (Turn 1) - a banked 180-degree right-hander at the end of the main straight, one of F1's classic overtaking spots. Arie Luyendyk (Turn 14) - the 18-degree banked final corner that lets cars accelerate flat onto the straight.
