Circuit de Monaco has hosted Formula 1 since 1950. It is a street circuit. Around 42 m between the lowest point at the harbour and the highest at Casino, with gradients of roughly 12 per cent.
Monaco has been on the Formula 1 World Championship calendar since its first season in 1950 and is the only race where cars run through a road tunnel, emerging at close to 290 km/h into the harbour chicane. It is the slowest, tightest circuit of the year and the one leg of motorsport's Triple Crown that F1 still visits.
